Wow that’s a very deep question Callan_T. My job is in industry and therefore on the face of it -the job is very practical rather than theoretical.
However it’s true in what you say -The main part of my role is to ensure that when the medicines I look after are manufactured that I have a way to ensure that the manufacturer know’s how to do this so the molecule is made safely and will do what it’s supposed to do and not harm the patient.
The theoretical possibilities lie in how I go about achieving this. Creating and maintaining product knowledge is what I do and although I work in science this part of my job can be very human in terms of interactions with my suppliers, customers and co-workers.
I hope this answers your question -it was a very good one
