I do agree with abortion. I won’t go into a long, deep discussion about all the arguments for and against (or this answer would be days long), but I think it is a woman’s choice to have an abortion, and religious beliefs (decided hundreds of years ago in patriarchal societies) shouldn’t dictate what a woman can or can’t do with their body. Pregnancy can be dangerous for both mother and child, and the life that follows might also be dangerous. Having a child is a choice and a freedom that women should be afforded. This is especially true in medical cases where pregnancy puts a woman’s life in danger.
I do but it is a deeply personal decision and I totally respect other points of view. My feeling is that the rights of the mother should not be lost in the argument.
My own personal belief is that all life should be respected and protected and that includes the life of an unborn child. Therefore as a general principle I do would not agree with abortion
However I recognise this is a very emotive and complex issue and I do respect other peoples point of view on this subject. In some situations, the rights of the unborn child and the rights of the mother have to be balanced.
