My degree took four years to complete Stormy.
The third of the four years was on a work placement in industry. For my placement, I spent a year working for ICI on manufacture of refrigerant gases. This was really interesting work and I got to work with some very dangerous chemicals, which needed a lot of car to handle.
Whatever your career aspirations are, in my opinion work experience is invaluable and would stongly recommend it.
It took four years to do my undergraduate degree, and during my 3rd year I worked at a drugs company called Pfizer. The scientists I got to meet there really inspired be to become a scientist.
