As with so many jobs there can be moments of stress as deadlines approach so very quickly and some experiments do not work as they should. It can get a little warm in the office and the laboratory but the odd stressful occasion is very much outweighed by the amazing opportunities afforded to us as scientists and we get to see the world and meet so many great people. The workman be challenging but the feeling of accomplishment when everything works and you submit the report or your team completes a project, this is when I feel great pride and knowing that another stage of an important process in bringing a drug product from conception to general release is completed and it is over to the next stage of the trial process.

I think you find your calling in life and my inquisitive mind led me to science and therefore when I am deep into design or execution of an experimental program then nothing could be less stressful to me.
There will be times in work or study that things will get stressful but hopefully those aren’t too often.

It can be- there are deadlines, sometimes you have to work really hard to compete to get the money or information you need for a project. Sometimes nothing works, or everything goes wrong. But it’s also amazing! Working in a job that I enjoy, I don’t really mind when it gets so stressful, because I like science so much. And it helps that other scientists are friendly and supportive (mostly, in my experience) because we all help each other out, and make our jobs a bit easier.
