I would have to say initially i was fascinated with chemical reactions and loved the chemistry experiments we did in school. From then it went onto trying to make a difference in the world. during my degree i wanted to work to help protect the environment but by a twist of fate I got a job in the pharmaceutical industry but the intent to help people and make a difference has not dwindled.

I think I always liked science (the bit with the investigating, and learning new things) and I had good chemistry teachers that made me want to study it at university. When I went to university I did work experience at a drugs company, and the people there and the work that they did really inspired me to want to be like them. You get to keep learning new things, do research that no-one has done before, and make a positive difference to society!

I had a great teacher at school, Mr. Broderick who showed me that actually it does all make sense when you look at it from a chemistry perspective.
