• Question: What made you change your mind from wanting to do law to doing biochemistry at university?

      Hi Kathryn,
      My choices were partly based on gut instinct and partly based on the environment. At the time when I was in secondary school (a loooong time ago), you couldn’t go into law if you didn’t know someone in the profession to champion your cause. I also preferred science. Both professions rely on an ability to analyse facts and develop coherant and convincing arguments. As it turns out, I spend sometime in the legal space now, having to sort out agreements on materials and patents with collaborators and companies.
