• Question: What subject in school did you find the most challenging?

      I guess English and Irish as at the time I didn’t see the relevance but I now understand that language is the glue that holds us together.

      Luna,
      I found French the most challenging subject. I loved Irish & English, but I think that I just came across French too late (aged 12) to have any grasp of it. Now I wish I had tried a little harder…. especially in this inter-connected world! It would be great to be fluent in some European languages.

      Any languages I studied! I really struggled with the verbs and the tenses, I was always someone who loved maths and science and computers. I struggled with languages. Although since I have let school I know attend night class where I am learning Spanish and it is going really well. I view every challenge as an opportunity to better ourselves!

      When I was younger, only really PE- I don’t have very good coordination, so figuring out how to play certain sports was really hard. But it’s fun to play!

      As I got older, everything got more challenging- that’s sort of how it works I guess: you have to learn more and more complicated things. But like with PE when I was younger, when it was fun, it didn’t matter. I wanted to work hard in subjects that I found difficult when the teachers really tried to make it interesting and fun. Challenging isn’t necessarily a bad thing, sometimes I find science VERY challenging, but also really really cool and interesting so I enjoy working hard to understand it!

      Hi Luna – from the day I started in primary school, the main thing I’ve had to work on is my handwriting. Therefore I would say anything that involved a lot of writing, like English was always a challenge.
