  Diazotrophs or any bacteria that have a nitrogenase enzyme.

  Any microorganisms that have something called a nitrogenase enzyme which does the converting of atmospheric nitrogen. These can be prokaryotes (microbes which don’t have a nucleus) or diazotrophs.
