Now that is a difficult question! I have so many 🙂
I really like Rosalind Franklin, who helped to discover the structure of DNA, and Lise Meitner, who discovered nuclear fission (like in nuclear power plants). They both didn’t get the recognition they deserved, but they were dedicated to science and worked really hard despite being treated like they weren’t good scientists because of their gender.
Astronaut Mae Jemison is also really inspiring- the first african american woman to go into space, and someone who believes that art and science are both really important to us as humans. Ada Lovelace was the first computer programmer, a long time before computers that we know today existed. Rachel Carson was a marine biologist whose passion for conservation and looking after our planet changed how both the USA and the world looked at how our actions affect the natural world.
I could go on… everywhere you look there are inspiring scientists!
