        Hi Clodagh, People take drugs as directed by their doctors to feel better and when prescribed by an expert such as your local doctor they usually work! If you mean by illegal drugs, many illegal drugs are design to release feel good hormones in the brain and they take them to feel good or illicit another response. Unfortunately as these drugs are illegal they are not subject to the same strict laws medicinal drugs are subject too and so they can can be mixed with rat poison or other horrible substances, so it best to only take drugs prescribed to you by a doctor and no one else.
