There is no best form, although we consider renewable energy to be better when thinking about emissions and the environment. Different forms of energy can contain more energy per kg for example if you burn 1 kg of coal you will get more energy than if you burn 1 kg of turf.

In very simple terms nuclear energy as it comes from the energy of a nucleus (where the is a huge concentration of forces), next is chemical energy as it comes from the bonds between compounds, then electromagnetic energy (light, x-rays, microwaves etc.) which has many sources, then thermal energy, and finally sound!! Complicated I know…
But in terms of generating usable energy I agree with Emma that you have to consider emissions and the environment. If nuclear fusion works that would be the winner for me.
