Question: What is dark matter

Dark matter makes up most of the mass in the Universe (more than 90% I think). We know this because we can observe the gravitational impact of dark matter. However, we can’t observe it directly as it doesn’t interact with light in the way ordinary matter does. So it is quite mysterious.
