    I live in Cork. I’m originally from Egypt.

    Before moving to Ireland, I lived in Qatar and Italy.

    I love traveling, I’ve been to 34 countries and still counting. I exercise daily and I go trekking from time to time. I like to cook my food.

    I work on energy conversion systems. I convert the energy from one form to another using semiconductor devices. I also work on advanced motor drive systems.

    I hold a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Politecnico Di Torino, Italy, and I’m a Senior IEEE Member.

  • What I'd do with the prize money

    Buying a Lego Mindstorms set to teach the students simple robotics, signals sensing, and motor control concepts.
