That is a nice question:)
We don’t usually have dangerous experiments. But one time I had to test a device called a ‘Pulse Generator’ which produces very high voltage in very short time. So I had to take extra precautions to ensure everything goes ok. At the end everything went fine, but it was a bit a dangerous experiment:)
Fortunately I haven’t been involved in many dangerous experiments. When I was teaching college students on electrical and electronic labs there was a significant emphasis placed on safety. Some of the equipment being used could produce large volts and currents. Typically we would have done a risk assessment and a method statement to ensure the experiment was done safely.
