  Weather forecasting has improved a lot over recent years due to computing power! There are many variables or different factors to consider, such as pressure, surface friction, coriolis effect, surface temperatures, etc. the computer calculates the them all over a period of time to predict the weather, the further the forecast the less accurate it will be.
