If you study as an engineer or as an architect you will be more then able to build a wonderful Fish pond.

Great question! Engineering can help you to construct the pond itself, digging a hole and building it so that it’s structurally sound. Then ecology and zoology (two types of biology) can show you how to build an eco-system of plants and animals that will work together so that your fish will stay healthy!

What a great question chrisb, I really had to think about that…
Well you need to know what shape and depth of pond you would like which would require some engineering/architecture skills.
You could work out how much water is needed in the pond by using maths.
To make sure the water quality is healthy for the fish, you use chemistry to test the water parameters
You would need to put fish and plants in, so you need biology to understand the species of fish and plants that will live in harmony together.
A pump would be required to ensure a flow of water and oxygen within the pond, so you could squeeze in some physics as well..
There is a lot of science to it!
