Question: Why are some genes more susceptible to Covid-19 than others have you found a particular gene that is susceptible if so how many people carry that gene ?
Certain genetic differences might influence how susceptible you are to the virus (for example, possibly some of our genes which are involved in how our immune system works), but because this is such a new disease, we don’t know yet what those genes or genetic differences are, and what impact they have. We’re working on answering these questions so that we can understand the disease better in the future.
