Eggs are great sources of lots of different types of nutrients, as they must contain all of the food a baby chick needs to survive until it hatches. This is unlike humans and most mammals (the platypus and some other mammals lay eggs) who get their nutrients through the umbilical cord from their mother’s placenta.
So eggs are high in protein, fat, cholesterol and lots of vitamins. For people concerned about their cholesterol, calorie or fat intake then eating lots of eggs every day would not be a good idea, but eating one or two a day would be fine.
You’d probably get tired of eggs pretty quickly if you ate any more every day, so like everything, eggs are good in moderation!
