      To my knowledge, this varies quite a bit and depends on the environment, including the surface material: apparently this can be minutes to days! Therefore, it is important for us to wash our hands frequently and clean surfaces that several people are in contact with, such as, doorhandles.

      Hi Lauren, it depends on the surface. The WHO has reported that the virus can live on cardboard for 24 hours and 72 hours on plastic/stainless steel, like for example door handles. So its very important to wash your hands or use hand sanitizer frequently and avoid touching your face.
