• Question: were you nervous about starting to study about the unknown virus back in march 2020 which we all know now as covid 19 ?

      Thats a great question! At first yes, because there was so much uncertainty about how the virus was being passed between people. Early 2020 we thought it could be found on cardboard boxes and food cans!

      But in labs, especially when working with dangerous viruses like we do at RCSI, we have special safety measures when using the virus: this includes wearing lab coats, gloves, goggles, masks, sometimes even face shields too! This makes everyone feel a lot safer when working with the virus that causes COVID19.
