  You have great taste in plate tectonics 😀
  Mine would be a beautiful “rift”, that is where continents break and move apart from each other to form an ocean, such as the Atlantic Ocean that formed between the Americas and Africa/Europe. A current example of ocean forming is in the East of Africa, if you look at a map of Africa you will see biiiiig lakes in the east, that are the first steps of this big continent breaking into 2 pieces. Of course this happens at very slow speed, the pieces of continents move at 1-2 cm, maximum 5-10 cm per year!
  
  I love volcanoes too though, they are so impressive! Have you seen the one currently in eruption in the Canary Islands ?
