I just wanted to work in industry, applying science so from that point of view, yes, always in the same field. I didn’t immediately go looking for a Healthcare company. I focused on finding companies that did R&D as well as manufacturing. When I saw Stryker, and realised what they do, I was really pleased to move in to the Healthcare industry and do R&D and apply science to make new and better products.
Not at all. I only found out that computational chemistry was an option in my last year of college. So before that I thought I would have to do something different with my college degree.
