I’ve lost some samples which have had nanomaterials on them. We usually put the nanomaterials onto little chips of glass or plastic or silicon which are can be the same size as a post stamp or as small as your little fingernail! I’ve dropped a few of these, and sometimes they’ve fallen behind a machine, or into a really hard to reach place and the sample is effectively lost! That’s why I take great care when Im picking my samples up or moving them around, we have sample boxes which keep them safe if we need to bring them between labs!
