  I started studying them from my first year in college, and I started working with them during my third year in college, and I am still working with them.
  
  Not the same ones though, there is a lot of different ways you can make them, with a lot of different characteristics.
  
  I started with solid state lasers, and now I am mainly working with semiconductor lasers.
