  The big problem with plastic is the time it takes to be decomposed (it can last up to 1000 years). So the solution would be to create a biodegradable (that can be decomposed) material with similar characteristics to plastic. The issue is creating a material that is cheap enough.

Question: Would there be a way to create a plastic that's better for the environment?
