Yes you can, and it can hurt. Fortunately we have no deadly jelly fish, so it is not too dangerous.
In Ireland we sometimes get Lion’s mane jellyfish, and they can be dangerous but not fatal:

In Australia there are some jellyfish that can sting and kill a human being. They are called box jellyfish.
