      Hi Ava, yes if you get TB, it will not be pleasant. You will lose lots of weight, have a cough that lasts for ages, sometimes you might cough up some blood, you will have drenching night sweats, and you will feel dreadful. We used to take up to 6 weeks to diagnose TB, but now it can be done in a few hours using the DNA of TB. But the doctor will have seen the signs and symptoms and put you on treatment before the sample even gets to the lab.
