I work to diagnose cancer and infectious diseases using a method called surface plasmon resonance. I make biosensors, basically. I use antibodies or viruses that I couple to gold films on a glass prism and shine a lazer light on them. I observe the shift in wavelength to see if a disease is present.
-
My Typical Day
A lot of sweet talking to my antibodies, so it will work.
