Question: Do you think your work can get young people into science

Yes certainly. I love the what I do and not everyone can say that about their work. I have given many career talks at schools, universities and in the Odyssey arena (W5) but the main aim is to show students that everyone; boys and girls can do research. If you work really hard and try your best at school, then anything is possible. Personally, I think science is looads of fun and it doesn’t seem like a job. You get to play with equipment, work with different types of materials and make loads of cool colourful things every day- who wouldn’t want a fun job like that! Also you are constantly learning new skills and so it never gets boring.
