Question: have any of the particles set on fire

No, but I do wonder how they would react to that! The particles I deal with are in a liquid solution until I put them onto a surface and then they dry up pretty quick! Sort of related, a group in Italy tried adding nano particles to clothes to try to protect them from fire. For cotton, they found that adding nano particles protected the material from fire for longer than without!
