It’s important to get research out there! It might give ideas to future scientists. And it’s good practice to talk about your research. You might come up with things I haven’t thought of 🙂

I really enjoy working with young scientists and believe it is very important to get people involved in science from a young age. So far, I have been asked really good questions, that have made me stop and think. That alone has helped me and I hope that I can help students engage more with science.

I really wanted to do this because I would have loved to been involved when I was your age. I think it’s a really great way to see what you guys think about science and for you to find out about the research we do and what a day is really like in the life of a scientist.

It is always fun to hear non (or future!) scientists thoughts on what is happening in science right now and to get them talking and interested about science in general which can seem a bit scary sometimes. People rarely get a chance to see the everyday life of a scientist and to hear about the research they do. I know I would have loved to have taken part in this sort of thing when I was in school!
