I always liked technology and medicine equally. So when I went to university I chose something that combines both – Biomedical engineering. I learned about medical devices and eventually and somewhat accidentally I found a specific field that interests me most, human motion. Also, my close friend had a knee injury that made me think about what can be done to help someone like her.

I first became interested in science during middle school. I wanted to understand better the world around us, and science gives you the method.

During University, I studied Mathematics and I focused on the theory. Then, I wanted to use in practice all I studied in those years. Thus, I chose a PhD in Computer Science. Moreover, I was always interested in human behaviour. We are very complex creatures. So, being able to mix mathematics and human behaviour was a perfect match for me.

I am interested in material science from middle school and I chose it as my major in Univerisity. And I focused on material manufacturing technology-3D printing in my master. And I found there are many problems for applications for 3D printed parts. And it is meaningful if I could connect material, 3D printing and its application. Thus, my PhD project now is to smooth surface of parts after 3D prnting which has significant influence to the applications.
