Sodium is a highly reactive metal which is very difficult to find as a sodium metal. It is found in many compounds like sodium carbonate, sodium chloride, sodium hydride etc. All has different and broad ranges of applications. Liquid Sodium is used in nuclear reactors as a cooling agent. It is used in street lights also which gives bright yellow light.
