It is really important to always ask yourself questions. Why do I think this is the right answer? Why do I think I should plan my experiment in this way? As scientists we are trying to reach the truth but sometimes our human biases can get in the way, so it’s always good to self-reflect, especially on automatic impulses or reactions.
When I have a scientific problem that I’m trying to solve, I will try to use different techniques to find the answer. If the results from two or more tests give the same result, then I’ll feel a lot more confident that the answer is correct.
