Question: what will happen when water levels rise?

It’s really hard to predict but it depends on the extent of that rise in global sea level. Already some low-lying island nations are being affected by flooding and low-lying cities on the coast or estuaries are having to use their flood defences more regularly (e.g. London). Some coastal habitats and ecosystems are also being affected.
