The space station is the International Space Station. It’s paid for by NASA (USA), Russia, Japan, Canada and the European Space Agency. Ireland is a member of the International Space Station, so Ireland already has a share in the space station.

IIreland is part of ESA so we do own a bit of the international space station. Unfortunately Ireland doesn’t pay into the manned space missions the ESA do, so until they do I don’t think an Irish person will ever get to fly to the International space station 🙁
