• Question: how old were you when you became a scientist

      That is hard to say… I’m not sure when it becomes official you are a scientist (or and engineer for me). It would be easier to know if there was a ceremony where angels come down with a golden lab jacket, but I didn’t notice that happen. I started Studying engineering when I was 18 and finish my degree 4 years later. So some time in that window I guess I transformed 🙂

      Well, my first research paper got published in 2011, when I was ~25. I think that made me a scientist… I finished my undergrad degree in 2008 and started on my PhD in the same year. So I guess professionally, you could count that. But really, anyone using the scientific method to figure something out could be considered a scientist, right?
