• Question: Why hasnt a girl got to the moon?

      In the 60s and 70s it was a lot harder for women to get into the space program. It is still hard, but not as hard. These days there are not any moon missions happening, so women now do not have an opportunity to go to the moon. However there are women on the International Space Station, from time to time. But, now it looks like China is trying to get to the moon, so we might see some female Chinese astronauts set foot on the moon!

      Nobody at all has been on the moon since 1972. I think the next crew to go to the moon (who might be Chinese) hopefully will have a woman as part of the team. I know the Chinese do have women astronauts.
