      Great question david246,
Space suits are made from many different layers of special materials. Some are designed to keep the astronauts air inside, some are designed to keep out the extreme hot and cold that is in space. One of the weirdest parts of the suit is the body bladder. Is is made from loads of tiny tubes that cover the guys body and then water gets pumped through the tubes to keep him/her at the right temperature!

In addition to UV and particle radiation, space suits also should deal with micrometeoroids that can travel at up to 27,000 km/h! These sound like they pack quite a punch 🙁
