      The are thousands of new planets being discovered at the moment. Some of them have bizarre properties including one that has a solid diamond core. If we find an iron planet it could be the most magnetism we have seen on a planet.

      Within the Solar System one imagines it is Jupiter just down to its sheer size, though I am not an expert.

      Yes, as Eoin said Jupiter has the strongest magnetic field of all the planets in the Solar system. It is down to its huge size and all the swirling motion going on deep inside it. But the Sun has the largest magnetic field of any object in the solar system. And there are some stars with unimaginable magnetic fields. The most extreme comes from a type of star called a magnetar. These magnetars are a special type of neutron star which are the remains of a supernova explosion.
