Question: why is some countries darker quicker than others

It all depends how close or how far you are from the equator. At the equator it turns from night to day very suddenly. Whereas at the north or south pole it is very gradual, and sometimes the day and night can last months at a time, depending on the season. It is all because the Earth is a ball shape!
