there are some software programmes that simulate the atoms and sub-atom movements if you use them it will make it easy. Also you can use patterns to represent the atoms
I find that visual aids are the best. Perhaps it’s an over simplification of the concept but so what, if it helps us understanding concepts such as atoms and electrons and protons, and move on from the atoms into understanding interactions between different atoms and how they can form molecules etc I think they are well worth a look!
There’s not much for me to add that the others haven’t but we have now directly imaged atoms and molecules. Even a picture of a reaction, which I think is pretty exciting!
