      Thank you for the question.
      NGO stands for Non-Governmental Organization.
      During my college, I spent my summer holidays either in laboratories doing Internships or working on social issues with NGO’s.
      As mentioned, a group of people with common interest form an organization (which is private/non-governmental) and work towards betterment of the society. There are thousands of NGO’s all over the world.
      I worked with an NGO whose main motto was sanitary and cleanliness. Being a science student, I found it very easy to explain to the local people about the hazards of unhygienic conditions.
