      simply oxygen and water without them we will die
      and this is why there is no life on other plants except earth

      Hi Roisin,

      The sunlight that hits it – without that we wouldn’t have coal, oil, gas, plants, (and therefore animals) wind, waves or light.

      I would have said water because it’s so very precious and enables us to live, but reading James’ s answer I have to agree that the most important thing to have that allows for everything else to exist the way we know it is the sunlight.
