That’s very difficult to remember, in college I think it probably was some pH measurement. My first “real research” experiment was probably the preparation of a “dry” solvent to use in a reaction, I was very nervous as it involved using sodium which is very reactive!

The first experiment of my own was testing a copper catalyst for the decomposition of nitric oxide – a pollutant emitted by cars into nitrogen and oxygen.

The first experiment I carried out as a student was to induce a magnet in an iron rod.

      Hi Susa,

My first ever experiment was conducted by me when I was in school (childhood).
I wanted to see if my garden plant can take nitrogen from acid solution. (The plant died !)
