Hi GG, that’s a really good question! I don’t just believe it, I know it is true! Sound vibrations travel in waves and they can travel in water. Sound waves actually travel faster in water because of the density or the way the molecules are packed. 🙂
When underwater objects vibrate or dolphins try to communicate, they create sound-pressure waves that compress, or make smaller and decompress or make bigger, the water molecules as the sound wave travels through the sea. So yes sound does affect water molecules
