I do find it fun! I like my job because I get to learn about a lot of cool new science and I get to be a bit creative in deciding how best to tell others about the science. Some days are boring of course, but most are a lot of fun! Today I am in Valencia (in Spain) for a new project that is just starting. It is all about developing new bio-based plastics (so plastic made from seaweed to replace the plastic we currently use which is made from fossil fuels (oil)). Did you have any particular questions about my job?

Absolutely, I meet so many interesting people and visit exciting places around Ireland. Plus it can be so rewarding if an hypothesis, assumption, you make holds true.
