Yes! I saw fungi the dolphin when I was in Dingle and I have also seen dolphins when I was swimming at the Aran islands last year. Unfortunately, sometimes dead dolphins wash up and these were sent to the lab I worked in, in Galway, as the scientists wanted to understand why the dolphins had died. Some dolphins die from noise pollution in the ocean, as they use sounds such as clicks to communicate with each other. When oil companies do fracking in the ocean, the super loud noises can cause the dolphins pain, confuse them and make it hard to find each other and food. Sometimes their ears’ bleed. This is why its important to reduce fracking and shipping traffic.
