Amy Heather Fitzpatrick answered on 12 Nov 2019:
Cacti are succulents so that means that they can store water in their spines or areolas.
Ann Reen answered on 13 Nov 2019:
Cacti have a waxy skin to help keep in moisture & the roots of cacti are spread out to collect water when it does rain.
