Religion and science are completely different activities. They can co-exist in the world but I don’t think there should be interaction between them.

Plenty of scientists I know are religious. It doesn’t come into the work we do though. No more than my love to Taylor Swift. They can coexist in harmony!

To me personally, I don’t think so.

Although sometimes I find myself praying to the Chemistry Gods that my experiments work! 🙂

Religion doesn’t come into any of the work that I do, but I don’t think they necessarily have to be mutually exclusive. You can be a scientist and still be religious, you don’t have to choose one over the other, its all about how you interpret things. For example, we know it doesn’t make logical sense for the Earth to be created in 6 days, but we can choose to interpret the story as a metaphor if we want, rather than taking it in its most literal sense.
